Grounds Maintenance Team Leader - Derby

Who are you?

  • Ideally qualified in horticulture with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
  • A confident person with good people management skills.
  • Adaptable to different working techniques with a strong work ethic.
  • Experienced with a wide variety of small engine machinery.
  • Good IT knowledge.
  • Ideally hold a full, clean driving license.
  • PA1 & PA6 qualifications are desirable.
  • Awareness of relevant industry Health & Safety legislation.
  • Reliable, conscientious, and able to work on your own initiative.

A glimpse into the role awaiting you

  • Assist the Supervisor and Senior Team Leaders in delivering programmed maintenance effectively.
  • Take responsibility for site works, including timekeeping, managing breaks, and dealing with members of the public, visitors, and deliveries.
  • Lead by example, motivate, guide the team, and maintain workforce discipline.
  • Operate company and hired vehicles, machinery, and equipment with care, ensuring daily checks and routine servicing are carried out and recorded.
  • Undertake other duties as reasonably required by the Supervisor.
