Job summary

Sanctuary Housing Association is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader in Ely to manage day-to-day groundswork across our schemes. You will supervise tasks, carry out risk assessments, and ensure all equipment is maintained and used safely under health and safety guidelines.

The role requires PA1–PA6 pesticide certification and recent experience operating gardening machinery, with a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, starting 7:00am.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling.
• Pesticide Application PA1–PA6 certification is essential.
• Recent experience with operating gardening machinery is essential.

Responsibilities

• Using equipment safely and in accordance with risk assessments and manufacturer guidance.
• Carrying out spraying and maintenance tasks with records to comply with health and safety requirements.
• Ensuring tools and equipment are well maintained and fit for purpose.
• Responding to complaints and breakdowns to meet customer expectations.
