Job summary

Onward Homes in Manchester is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to lead the in-house environmental team and deliver a high-quality service on estates. The role requires a full UK driving licence, strong line management, and a focus on customer service and safety.

We offer a competitive salary of £32,750 per annum, 32 days annual leave plus bank holidays (40 days total), a pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions, a health cash plan and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance and cleaning.
• Knowledge of Horticulture.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and KPIs in a customer-facing role.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities.
• IT skills: Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Line Management: lead grounds maintenance teams to complete works on estates and schemes.
• Resources: manage internal resources, plant, equipment, and materials.
• Health and Safety: ensure safe methods of work and training records.
• Partnership Working: build internal and external partnerships to meet EST objectives.
• Reporting: prepare reports and investigate incidents and complaints.
• Customer Service: attend resident/partner meetings as required.
