Job summary

The Best Connection is hiring a Grounds Maintenance Operative in Whitehaven, Cumbria. This role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00–16:00 with immediate start, paying £13.08 per hour. You will perform groundskeeping tasks, routine cleaning, and basic upkeep while working outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Some experience in groundskeeping or maintenance is preferred.
• Full training will be provided for candidates with limited experience.
• A positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain signs, benches, ensuring presentable and safe spaces.
• Mow and care for grassed areas to keep outdoor spaces tidy.
• Plant flowers and maintain landscaped areas to enhance the environment.
• Remove fly tipping and litter to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Maintain hedges and grass areas and assist with general repairs as needed.
