Job summary

Ground Control in Reading is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a dedicated team at Green Park. You will perform grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, spraying and litter picking, ensuring health and safety standards are met.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with training and career development. You will maintain tools and PPE, report defects, and record work using mobile technology, contributing to high-quality grounds services in a professional

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar grounds maintenance role.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Full UK driving licence (preferred).
• Spraying qualifications (PA1 & PA6) and/or horticultural certification desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

We’re looking for reliable and skilled Grounds Maintenance Operatives to support the delivery of high-quality grounds services across Green Park, Business Park, Reading RG2 6GP. What you’ll do:

• Carrying out routine and specialist grounds maintenance tasks including grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, spraying, pruning, and litter picking.

• Operating a range of equipment and machinery safely and effectively.

• Maintaining tools, vehicles, and PPE to a high standard and reporting any defects.

• Recording completed work using mobile technology (training provided).

• Working collaboratively with your team to meet quality and performance targets.

• Previous experience in a similar grounds maintenance role

• A good understanding of health & safety procedures and safe equipment use

• Full UK driving license (preferred)
