Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to maintain outdoor spaces to high standards at locations around St Austell. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week role offers a competitive hourly rate and the security of permanent employment.

You will perform grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying and litter picking, with winter duties including gritting. A Full UK driving licence is preferred and PA1/PA6 are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• PA1/PA6 spraying licences preferred.
• Ability to tow trailers advantageous.
• Grounds maintenance experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying and litter picking.
• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely.
• Deliver winter services including gritting and snow clearance.
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management.
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake training as required.

Rate of Pay: £ 13.45 per hour

Location: Asda - St Austell, Cornwall, Bodmin, England PL30 4BB

Requirement: Full UK Driving Licence, PA1 & PA6 preferred, ability to tow trailers and advantage, some experience preferred etc also must be available to do gritting in the winter

Role Responsibilities

• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking
• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and effectively
• Deliver winter services including gritting, snow clearance, and Christmas tree installation
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake additional training as required

• Good understanding of smartphone technology
• Grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential
• PAI & PA6 spraying license is a plus
• Full UK driving license preferred for roles involving company vehicles
