Job summary

Ground Control is seeking reliable Grounds Maintenance Operatives to support high-quality grounds services at Green Park, Reading RG2 6GP. The role focuses on safety, accuracy, and teamwork, delivering routine and specialist tasks in line with standards.

You’ll operate equipment, keep tools and PPE in excellent condition, and record work via mobile tech. A proactive attitude and driving licence are valued as part of a professional team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar grounds maintenance role.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures and safe equipment use.
• Full UK driving license (preferred).
• Spraying qualifications (PA1 & PA6) and/or horticultural certification (desirable).
• Proactive, professional attitude and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine and specialist grounds maintenance tasks including grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, spraying, pruning, and litter picking.
• Operating a range of equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
• Maintaining tools, vehicles, and PPE to a high standard and reporting any defects.
• Recording completed work using mobile technology (training provided).
• Working collaboratively with your team to meet quality and performance targets.
