Job summary

Mitie Landscapes is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operator to join our team in Newport. You will maintain canal network grass and hedges and operate vehicles and equipment in line with safety procedures, reporting hazards as required. A full UK driving licence is essential, and a passion for outdoor work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the canal network including grass cutting and hedge cutting.
• Providing management with information and reporting as required, including reporting any site hazards.
• Operating all vehicles, machinery and equipment in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Undertaking training as and when required.

Mitie Landscapes has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operator to join our team at the UKs market leading FM company. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be supporting them in ensuring your team deliver the exceptional every day.

You will be working in partnership with Canal & River Trust is the UK's largest canal charity, who care for a 2,000-mile network of stunning canals and navigable rivers.

• Maintaining the Canal network including grass cutting & hedge cutting,
