Job summary

Wrekin Housing Group in Telford is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to carry out high quality grounds maintenance and landscaping across our property portfolio. The role demands practical experience, safe operation of machinery, and attention to detail in outdoor spaces.

You will be expected to work 36 hours per week with seasonal adjustments, hold a full clean driving licence, and demonstrate teamwork and a professional approach when engaging with tenants. A Basic DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• A full, clean driving licence is required.
• Ability to drive a 35cwt pick-up vehicle.
• Relevant horticultural knowledge and practical experience.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong people skills and professional tenant liaison.
• Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS Check.

Responsibilities

• Grass cutting, pruning shrubs and plants, weeding and general grounds upkeep.
• Use machinery, equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain high standards of quality and professionalism.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
