Job summary

BDS (Northern) Limited is seeking an experienced cleaner/grounds person to maintain a retirement complex in Brighton. A driving role with a provided van, carrying out lawn care, border management, cleaning, strimming and waste removal. You’ll work both in a team and independently, with 21 hours per week across Wed–Fri, 8am–4pm or 9am–5pm.

The position is temporary for 3 months with likely extension; PAYE £14.63/hr or Umbrella £18.86/hr. A van is provided for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in estate maintenance or grounds work.
• Ability to drive and operate basic grounds equipment.
• Clean and tidy with good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Mow and maintain lawns and borders.
• Clean estate areas and manage litter control.
• Strim vegetation and maintain tidy borders.
• Handle bin stores and bulk waste removal as needed.
• Interact professionally with residents and colleagues.

Job description

BDS are currently recruiting for an experienced cleaner/grounds person to provide estate maintenance to a retirment complex in Brighton.

You will need to be a driver for this position and a van is provided. Some of the key duties involved are:

• Lawn mowing/Lawn care
• Border management
• Cleaning
• Strimming
• Litter picking
• Bin store management
• Bulk waste removal when necessary

We are looking for someone who has good customer service skills, as you will be interacting with our customers and colleagues, and you will be working both within a team and on your own.

Working hours are 21 per week worked - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8am to 4pm or 9:00am until 5:00pm.

The rate is £ 14.63 p/h PAYE or £ 18.86 p/h Umbrella.

This is a temporary ongoing position initially for 3 months, with likely extension.
