Job summary

Farnborough Airport Limited is seeking a proactive Ground Handler to join our Ground Handling team, delivering a bespoke service to passengers and crew. In this role you will work with a small team to marshal aircraft, perform pushback and towing, refuelling checks, luggage handling and safe operating of GSE; you’ll support colleagues across shifts and maintain high safety standards.

You should be prepared for manual handling, working at heights, and providing passenger assistance, with a focus

Qualifications

• UK Right to Work confirmed.
• CRC clearance to required security level.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to lift passengers’ bags and oversize items safely.
• Able to work across a variety of shift patterns (including holidays).
• Airside Driving Permit requirements.
• Good literacy and numeracy; interpret information.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Pro-active, can-do attitude; work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class ground handling service to passengers and crew.
• Marshal arriving aircraft and assist with pushback/towing.
• Refuel aircraft and check fuel quality.
• Service aircraft toilets and water supplies.
• Load/unload passenger luggage safely; handle oversize items.
• De-ice aircraft and perform safety checks.
• Assist during adverse weather and emergencies.
• Provide passenger assistance and live animal support as needed.
• Communicate clearly via radio and reporting systems.
• Maintain Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and complete training.

Farnborough Airport Limited is looking to recruit a proactive Ground Handler to join the wider Ground Handling team in offering a bespoke handling service to our customers.

Role Responsibilitie

:Within this role, you will work as part of a team to provide a first-class service to passengers and crew

Key responsibilities includ

• e:Providing an efficient marshalling service to arriving aircraf
• t.Performing aircraft pushback and towing including manoeuvring aircraft into and out of hangar
• s.Undertaking a variety of manual handling activities including lifting and manoeuvring heavy objects and equipment in accordance with the safe principles of manual handlin
• g.Carrying out aircraft refuelling and aviation fuel quality control activitie
• s.Safely and efficiently servicing aircraft toilets and water supplie
• s.Performing baggage handling, ensuring the safe loading, and unloading of customer luggage which may include large and oversized item
• s.Carrying out aircraft de-icing (including working at heights) and de-icing quality control activitie
• s.Assisting where needed in conditions of adverse weather and during emergency response
• s.Providing special assistance to passengers and live animal
• s.Providing support and assistance to crew and our Customer Services team where reasonably require
