Job summary

UKME seeks an experienced Groom to perform daily stable yard and field duties, including feeding, handling and grooming horses. You will muck out stables to a high standard, report health issues to the Head Groom, and assist in client activity preparation and riding activities.

Role requires experience as a Groom and in horse care, with a clean driving licence. Equine qualification is desirable; the company operates UK-wide with 24/7 client support.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily stable yard and field duties including feeding, handling and grooming.
• Muck out and clean stables to a high standard.
• Report horse ailments or injuries to Head Groom.
• Administer treatments as directed.
• Exercise horses daily via lunging, hacking, schooling, or track cantering.
• Safely lead fit and excitable horses, including stallions.
• Check and maintain equipment safety; report repairs needed.
• Ensure areas are clean and tidy at day end.
• Transport horses as required.
• Assist in client activity preparation and riding activities.

• Muck out and clean stables to a high standard.
• Report any horse ailments, infections, or injuries to the Head Groom immediately.
• Administer necessary treatments to horses as directed.
• Exercise allocated horses daily through lunging, hacking, schooling, or track cantering.
• Safely lead fit and excitable horses, including stallions.
• Check and maintain the safety and serviceability of all equipment, reporting any repairs needed.
• Ensure all areas are clean and tidy at the end of each day.
• Transport horses as required.
• Assist in client activity preparation tasks and riding activities, following correct procedures.
• Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.
