Sainsbury’s is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries directly to customers’ doors with care and efficiency. You will operate a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, check vehicle safety, and follow planned routes to ensure timely deliveries.

Expect a fast-paced role requiring physical effort and strong customer service. The role involves helping in-store when not delivering, using delivery tech, and maintaining high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points
• Able to move containers weighing up to 15kg and handle shopping bags and boxes safely
• Willing to learn route and delivery technology and work across the store when needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries to customers doorstep in a friendly, thoughtful manner
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver orders on time and in good condition
• Perform checks to ensure van is roadworthy, clean and organized and orders are secure
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in various locations and conditions
• Move containers up to 15kg and assist customers with their deliveries
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate delays or changes to customers
• Assist in-store tasks when not out delivering
