Job summary

Sainsbury’s is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries to customers’ doors with warmth and reliability. You’ll drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, perform routine vehicle checks, and ensure orders arrive on time in great condition.

You’ll focus on safe driving, clear customer communication, and may assist in-store tasks. A full UK driving licence and flexible, customer‑facing attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK/EU driving licence held for at least 12 months with up to 6 points.
• Over 18 years old.
• Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries to customers in a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van.
• Complete checks to ensure van roadworthiness and cleanliness.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varied conditions.
• Move containers weighing up to 15kg and assist customers.
• Communicate with customers about delays and changes to orders.
• Support store colleagues when not delivering.
