Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries straight to customers' doors with energy, warmth and care. You will be the face of the brand during delivery, ensuring on-time, in-good-condition deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include operating a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, performing vehicle checks, and communicating with customers about any order changes. The role may involve helping in-store tasks when not delivering.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years old and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it.
• Right to Work eligibility in the UK is required.
• Able to perform physical tasks, including moving shopping containers weighing up to 15kg.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep you deliver to, making customers feel valued with a friendly and helpful service.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Complete checks to ensure the van is roadworthy, clean and ready before starting deliveries.
• Follow planned routes, drive safely in varying locations and weather conditions.
• Communicate with customers about delays and changes to orders; handle customer queries.
• Assist across the store when not on deliveries.
