Job summary

Sainsbury’s is looking for a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries straight to customers’ doors with energy and care. You’ll operate a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, perform vehicle checks, and follow planned routes to ensure timely deliveries, while providing a friendly, helpful doorstep experience.

You’ll be part of a team at our stores, with flexible duties across delivery and store support, emphasizing safety, customer satisfaction and efficient service.

Qualifications

• Friendly and welcoming with a passion for helping customers.
• Able to drive a larger vehicle safely in diverse locations.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, physical delivery environment.
• Able to use initiative, solve problems and make safe on‑road decisions.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep, delivering with care.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Carry out safety and security checks on the van and orders before departure.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varied traffic and weather conditions.
• Assist across the store when not out delivering.
