Actio Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Grinder for a PM shift in Warwick. You will produce high-precision components using cylindrical and surface grinding, setting and operating CNC and manual machines, and interpreting engineering drawings.

This permanent role offers a competitive hourly rate (£16–£20), stable workload, and a supportive team environment with long-term career prospects.

Qualifications

CNC Grinder (PM Shift)

Warwick

£16 to £20 per hour

Permanent Position

We are seeking an experienced CNC Grinder to join a well-established manufacturing business operating within a high-precision engineering environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with experience in both CNC and manual grinding to join a stable company offering competitive pay and a permanent PM shift.

The Role

You will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components using a range of grinding machinery, ensuring work is completed to specification and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operating Jones & Shipman CNC Cylindrical Grinding
• Setting and operating manual cylindrical grinding machines
• Operating manual surface grinding machines
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications
• Inspecting finished components to ensure conformance to tolerances
• Maintaining high standards of quality and housekeeping
• Working efficiently to meet production schedules

Requirements

• Proven experience in cylindrical and surface grinding
• Ability to set and operate CNC grinding machinery
• Experience with Jones & Shipman grinding machines would be highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to producing high-quality work

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Thursday: 2:30pm - 11:30pm
• Friday: 12:45pm - 5:30pm

Salary

• £16 to £20 per hour inc shift allowance
