Job summary

Honest Greens is seeking a Grill Chef to own the grill station, cooking proteins and vegetables to order and to spec. You will keep the station organized and safe, working closely with the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high‑flavour plates during busy services.

Responsibilities include running the grill, prep and stock, and strict adherence to food safety and allergen controls. Flexible weekends/evenings and strong team spirit are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of grill/hot section experience in a busy kitchen.
• Confident cooking proteins to different temperatures.
• Good knife skills and understanding of food safety and allergens.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (or willing to complete it).
• Calm, organised and able to keep high standards during peak service.
• Reliable, punctual and a strong team player.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Run the grill station, cooking proteins and vegetables to order to spec and ensure timely plates.
• Prepare mise en place for grill, portioning and garnishes; rotate stock and check deliveries.
• Follow HACCP, allergen controls and hygiene procedures, maintaining a clean grill area.
• Support other stations and help train new team members; complete opening/closing checks.
