Job summary

Field Energy is seeking a Grid Lead (Development) to oversee GB development grid connections from origination to pre-construction. You will act as the go-to expert on electrical and grid queries, coordinating with NESO, TOs and design teams to shape early grid strategy and project design.

This highly autonomous role requires deep power systems knowledge, strong commercial judgement, and collaboration with Origination, Development PMs and Project Engineers.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering background with grid connections experience.
• Knowledge of G99 and ONCC processes and grid code awareness.
• Strong communication with NESO/TOs and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage GB development grid connections across origination through pre-construction.
• Provide electrical design guidance in early development stages.
• Prepare SLDs and general arrangement drawings.
• Own grid connection applications from submission to acceptance and modification.
• Engage NESO and Transmission Owners to resolve grid issues.
