Job summary

Metlen Energy & Metals is seeking a Grid Compliance Engineer to ensure renewables and storage projects meet UK Grid Codes and DNO/NESO requirements from development through commissioning.

The role acts as the internal technical authority for grid compliance, managing strategies, studies, and submissions to network operators to minimise risk and secure approvals for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and UK grid compliance experience.
• Experience managing grid applications and compliance studies.
• Familiarity with ENA G99/G100, UK Grid Code, and DNO/NESO processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority for grid compliance across UK projects.
• Lead G99 applications (Stages 1-3) with DNOs and NESO.
• Coordinate compliance reports and commissioning plans.
• Interface with DNOs, IDNOs, and NESO to secure approvals.
• Define and manage grid compliance studies (load flow, fault level, dynamics).
• Support project delivery by embedding compliance in execution plans.
