Job summary

Clarke is seeking a Grid Compliance Engineer to join our engineering team in the UK. The role focuses on ensuring projects meet grid code requirements and regulatory standards, supporting connections of generation assets to the electrical network, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

You will review grid compliance requirements, translate them into deliverables, and assist in commissioning activities.

Qualifications

Experience in grid compliance, power systems or electrical engineering.
Understanding of UK grid codes and connection processes (G99, G100).
Ability to interpret technical standards and apply them practically.
Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Methodical approach with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Ensure all designs and installations comply with grid codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
Support grid connection applications, including G99/G100 processes and documentation.
Review and interpret grid compliance requirements and translate into engineering deliverables.
Liaise with DNOs, TSOs and other stakeholders.
Coordinate and support grid compliance studies (load flow, fault level, protection).
Assist in preparing and reviewing technical documentation, including compliance reports and test procedures.
Support commissioning activities, including grid compliance testing and validation.
Identify and mitigate technical risks in grid connection and compliance.
Keep up to date with grid codes and industry standards.
