Job summary

A leading engineering company seeks a Grid Compliance Engineer to support renewable energy projects, ensuring adherence to grid compliance standards. You will be involved in managing compliance interfaces, producing technical documentation, and overseeing project progress, offering a significant opportunity for impact in the renewables sector. This role is remote with a flexible contract until December 2025, requiring occasional site visits.

Qualifications

• Experience with renewable energy projects is essential.
• Strong understanding of Grid Compliance and electrical systems.
• Ability to manage compliance and produce technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage compliance interfaces throughout project phases.
• Handle BMU and metering registration processes.
• Produce and review technical documentation and reports.

Job description

Location: REMOTE with occasional site visits and team meetings once a month

Contract Type: Until 31st December 2025, subject to extension

Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, 5 days

Role Overview

As a Grid Compliance Engineer, you will support renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with distribution and transmission connection requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage compliance interfaces with NESO, TO, and DNO through project phases.
• Handle BMU and metering registration processes.
• Produce and review technical documentation and external reports.
• Manage weekly project reports and tools.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience with renewable energy projects.
• Knowledge of Grid Code and Grid Compliance.
• Understanding of electrical system studies and EMT/RMS models.
• Experience managing risks in renewables.
