Job summary

National Energy System Operator Limited (NESO) seeks a Power Systems Engineer - Compliance to guide power generators on grid code compliance and review data across all project phases. The role is based in Warwick or Wokingham with hybrid working from office and home.

You will liaise with customers, review submissions, develop models and witness testing as needed. A degree in Power Systems/Electrical Engineering is required and experience in a similar role is preferred.

• Experience in a similar role.
• Degree in Power Systems, Electrical Engineering, Science or Technology.
• Team player, flexible and willing to go the extra mile.
• Well organised with knowledge of basic project management tools and techniques.
• Good stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with power generator owners and manufacturers through the compliance process.
• Assess technical data submissions, plant simulation studies and commissioning results for grid code compliance.
• Investigate significant faults and events leading to loss of supply.
• Develop and validate network models and compare commissioning test results with control system models.
• Occasional site visits to witness compliance testing activities.
