Job summary

Octopus Energy Group is seeking a Grid Analyst to design and optimise electricity grids, informing capex and strategic decisions in the UK and globally. You will develop and run deterministic physics-based grid models and explore non-wire solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.

The role requires deep knowledge of energy systems, experience with PSCAD/PSSE/PowerFactory/PandaPower, and a keen ability to translate data into actionable commercial insights for multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong background in energy systems and grid modelling.
• Advanced power flow modelling expertise with industry tools.
• Experience with DERs and high/medium voltage grids preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grid assessment: map, analyze and model grids across markets.
• Techno-economic modelling to define optimal resource mix.
• Interconnection analysis and reviewing grid investment plans.
