Job summary

The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport is seeking a Greenkeeper to join our Estates team. You will help maintain greens, tees, bunkers and rough areas across our championship courses, supporting the golf team and Estates Department to the highest standards.

We look for NVQ Level 2/3 in Greenkeeping, relevant experience and a self-motivated approach. Spraying and chainsaw certificates are desirable. 45 hours per week, permanent contract with excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Greenkeeping (or equivalent).
• Previous greenkeeping or golf course maintenance experience.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Spraying and chainsaw certificates are desirable but not essential.
• A commitment to high standards of course presentation and safety.
• Must be aged 18 or over due to machinery and exposure to chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain greens, tees, bunkers, approaches and rough areas to exceptional standards.
• Operate and maintain specialist grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist in the delivery of golf course maintenance and development programmes.
• Support the operational needs of the golf team and Estates Department.
• Ensure all equipment, stock and working areas are maintained, clean and compliant with safety standards.
• Attend team briefings, contribute to departmental objectives and report any faults, hazards or customer concerns promptly.
