Job summary

The Land Trust is seeking an Estates & Community Officer to manage grounds across Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire, combining estate oversight with resident engagement. Based mainly at Linmere (Houghton Regis) with travel to Wellingborough and Aylesbury, you’ll help deliver welcoming green spaces and strong community links.

You’ll coordinate contractors, monitor budgets, host events, and work with partners to maintain sustainable, thriving developments.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing landscape or grounds maintenance contracts.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience dealing with residents, customers or members of the public.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage grounds maintenance and landscape contracts to high standards.
• Carry out site inspections and monitor contractor performance.
• Serve as a key contact for residents, customers and partners.
• Organise community events and engagement activities.
• Support landscape and public space enhancements.
• Monitor budgets, raise POs and process invoices.
• Help transfer development phases into long-term management.
• Collaborate with communications on site initiatives.
