Job summary

Luton Borough Council is seeking an Estates Officer to keep housing estates clean, safe and well maintained across the Council's stock. You will conduct regular inspections, address issues to meet health and safety, fire safety and value for money, and work with partners to resolve problems, including enforcement where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, housing, estates or property management.
• Strong organisational and communication skills; able to manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Ability to interview and support witnesses and prepare reports and statements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular inspections of communal areas in housing stock.
• Identify issues and take action to meet safety and quality standards.
• Respond to residents and partner agencies; assist enforcement where needed.
• Maintain records, monitor performance and produce reports.
