Job summary

Electrogenos is seeking a hands-on Plant Manager to stand up and run our alkaline water electrolysis stack manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi. You will design the fit-out, specify equipment, and establish safe, reliable production that meets our quality standards while collaborating with UK and Spain teams.

In phase one you’ll lead the site fit-out and commissioning; in phase two you’ll build the team, manage production, schedule, cost, and safety.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience managing a manufacturing plant or production line end to end.
• Proven track record of greenfield line installation or major commissioning.
• Experience designing and commissioning electroplating facilities.
• Strong process qualification and quality control capabilities.
• Strict EHS discipline around hazardous chemicals and effluent.
• Experience building and leading a production team.
• Comfort working in early-stage, constrained environment.
• Fluent English; willingness to be based on-site in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities

• Design the plant layout and lead fit-out, installation, commissioning of electrodeposition line.
• Lead stack assembly facility fit-out, tooling, fixtures, and material flow.
• Set up basic product characterization and quality control checks.
• Oversee safe handling of plating chemistries and compliance with regulations.
• Transfer processes from R&D into scalable production with cross-border teams.
• Own day-to-day plant operations: schedule, throughput, cost, maintenance, on-time delivery.
• Build and lead the plant team: hiring, training, shift structure.
• Manage suppliers and subcontractors for equipment and facility works.
• Establish quality management system and documentation/traceability.
• Report progress, ramp status, quality, safety, cost and risks to leadership.
