Job summary

Watergrove Trust is seeking a proactive School Site Manager to lead the management, maintenance, safety and security of our school premises. You will ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors, while coordinating with leadership and external contractors.

The role requires a strong focus on health and safety, compliance records, and effective leadership of site staff, with a commitment to continuous improvement and energy efficiency within the multi-academy

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing school premises and facilities operations.
  • Knowledge of fire safety, asbestos management, and contractor oversight.
  • Ability to maintain accurate compliance records and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the management, maintenance, safety and security of school premises.
  • Ensure learning environments are safe, clean, compliant and welcoming for students, staff and visitors.
  • Supervise assistant site staff and cleaning teams; coordinate with external contractors.
  • Oversee security, access control, energy use and environmental initiatives.
  • Maintain engagement with school leadership to minimise disruption to learning.

In this key role, you will ensure our learning environment is safe, clean, compliant, and welcoming for all students, staff, and visitors.

  • Strong Compliance & Safety: They maintain clear compliance records to meet statutory requirements, including but not limited to fire safety, asbestos, and contractor management, without needing constant oversight.
  • Collaborative Communication: They work smoothly with school leadership, teachers, and external workers to minimise daily disruption to learning
