A leading environmental organization is seeking a Grassroots Development Lead to enhance grassroots activism across England. This part-time role involves training activists, developing strategies, and leading nationwide projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in campaigning and mobilising communities, with a commitment to empowering grassroots voices.
Contract Type: Fixed Term Salary: 17.5 hours per week
Regionally: £22,342 - £23,539
London: £24,336 - £25,531 per annum
As one of two Grassroots Development Leads in the England Team, you’ll be responsible for supporting grassroots growth and development, ensuring the network can campaign effectively.
You’ll create and deliver training to support existing activists and local groups; develop and implement strategies to build and strengthen the movement across England; and lead nationwide project work, including network events.
We seek passionate grassroots activists skilled in mobilising and supporting groups to design and run impactful campaigns. You should have a solid understanding of building people-powered movements, with knowledge of various activism approaches, including online and in-person methods. Experience in facilitating training and coaching programs for activists is essential. A strong advocate for bottom-up, people-powered movements, you will ensure grassroots voices are central to Friends of the Earth.
