Job summary

North Norfolk District Council is seeking a creative graphic designer to join the Communications and PR team, delivering digital and print design for all council departments. You will manage multiple projects, produce brochures, leaflets, posters, web banners, infographics and forms using the Adobe Creative Suite, and help present the council positively to residents and partners.

This maternity cover role offers part-time hours with hybrid working and a supportive, busy design environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a professional design or communications environment.
  • Strong portfolio of online and print design work.
  • Proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality materials.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare digital and print graphic design work for all Council departments.

About The Role

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and experienced graphic designer to help us present the Council positively and professionally to the people in our district and the wider world. Working with the Communications and PR team, you will be responsible for preparing varied and engaging digital and print graphic design work on behalf of all departments of the Council.

This post is maternity cover for up to 12 months.

About You

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a professional design or communications environment and a strong portfolio of online and print design work. You will be confident using leading graphic design applications, including the full Adobe suite, and able to produce high-quality brochures, leaflets, posters, web banners, infographics, display materials, forms and documents.

You will be organised, self-motivated and able to manage several projects at the same time, prioritising your workload to meet deadlines and deliver work on time and within budget. You will enjoy working with colleagues across the Council, building effective stakeholder relationships and providing clear, professional advice on design, layout, branding and visual presentation.
