Job summary

North Norfolk District Council is seeking an Environmental Protection Officer (part-time, 22 hours/week) to cover Statutory Nuisance, antisocial behaviour, and environmental crime investigations. The role supports a coastal and rural district with a focus on positive environmental outcomes and community wellbeing.

The candidate should hold a relevant degree or substantial regulatory experience, possess excellent communication skills, and be capable of prioritising tasks while working

About The Role

We have a fantastic Environmental Protection Officer role available. The role covers a variety of duties including Statutory Nuisance, Antisocial Behaviour, and Environmental Crime investigations.

We would love to have a candidate who wants to make a positive difference, to the environment, lives, and wellbeing of people within the coastal and rural district of North Norfolk.

Please note this is a part time role, 22 hours per week.

About You

We are looking for someone with a relevant degree/qualification and experience, or candidates with substantial regulatory experience. As an organisation we encourage professional development and support further training opportunities.

You must have excellent communication and customer care skills, and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. The ability to work well as part of a team as well as on your own initiative is essential. The successful candidate will be well organised and able to work flexibly.

A full driving license and daily access to a vehicle is essential.
