Job summary

City St George’s, University of London is launching a new Graduation and Awards function and is seeking a capable manager to lead the team responsible for award, certificate and graduation processes.

You will oversee operational planning, stakeholder engagement and service improvement while ensuring compliance and a positive student experience. The role requires strong leadership, collaboration across Schools and Registry Services, and timely delivery for January and July ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading operational services within a complex environment.
• Knowledge of student records, award processes and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience with process improvement, staff management and service development.
• Ability to lead change, manage risk and deliver high-quality services to fixed deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Graduation and Awards team and oversee delivery of award, certificate and graduation processes.
• Manage operational planning, stakeholder engagement, service improvement and compliance activities.
• Provide expert advice on regulations and processes, oversee budgets and risk management.
• Lead staff development and work collaboratively with Schools, Registry Services, Events and Professional Services colleagues to deliver an outstanding student experience.
