Job summary

Flourish Education are seeking Behaviour Mentors to work across Worcester and surrounding areas in secondary schools. A Graduate with a UK degree is preferred, with sports coaching or youth-work experience valued to motivate pupils and build strong relationships.

Roles involve supporting pupils with behavioural challenges, SEMH needs and engagement, both inside and outside the classroom. Full-time opportunities exist, with competitive daily rates and professional safeguarding training provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a degree from a UK university.
• Sports coaching or experience working with young people is highly desirable.
• Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting young people is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident and able to build positive relationships with teenagers.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
• Supporting pupils with behavioural, social and emotional needs.
• Building positive relationships with young people.
• Using your skills and experience to motivate and encourage pupils.
• Supporting pupils to improve their behaviour and engagement.
• Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
• Supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom.
• Acting as a positive role model for pupils.
• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, resilience and self-belief.
• Helping pupils re-engage with their education.
• Supporting behaviour and pastoral interventions.
• Managing challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner.
• Working alongside teachers and the wider pastoral team.
• Encouraging pupils to make positive choices.
• Supporting pupils to develop their communication and social skills.
• Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to reviews where appropriate
