Job summary

Arup is seeking a graduate water engineer to contribute to flood risk, coastal risk management, and water infrastructure projects in the UK. You will work with diverse teams on multi-disciplinary schemes and engage with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant engineering degree, expecting a 2:1 or above.
• Willingness to learn new skills and deliver high‑quality work for clients.
• Desire to obtain professional accreditation and develop in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out assessment, analysis, and design; preparing reports, drawings, calculations and specifications.
• Collaborating with colleagues across disciplines and meeting clients and stakeholders.
• Carrying out feasibility studies, generating engineering sketches and technical reports.
• Creating digital solutions to manipulate and analyse large datasets.
• Using software such as InfoDrainage, InfoWorks, GIS and CAD tools.
