Job summary

Arup is offering a graduate opportunity in the Tunnelling and Underground Structures team to work on major UK and international projects. You will contribute from feasibility through construction support, applying geotechnical and structural engineering principles to deliver innovative tunnel solutions.

Join a multidisciplinary team working on iconic schemes such as HS2 and other major infrastructure, with a strong focus on geotechnical modelling, design optimization and client collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Experience or interest in geotechnical engineering and tunnel design is preferred.
• Interest in multidisciplinary collaboration across geotechnical, structural, rail, water and digital engineering.

Responsibilities

• Undertake engineering analysis, calculations and numerical modelling for tunnel design.
• Support design and delivery of tunnels, shafts, caverns and underground structures from feasibility to construction.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings and presentations clearly communicating concepts.
