Qualifications

• Graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience working with secondary-aged students desirable.
• Experience in a school, tutoring, mentoring or youth setting would be beneficial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, approachable and encouraging manner.
• Reliable, organised and willing to learn from experienced teaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities across secondary subjects.
• Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning and understanding.
• Encourage students to participate, stay focused and develop independent learning skills.
• Help maintain a positive classroom environment and support behaviour policies.
• Provide additional guidance to students who need help understanding instructions or completing tasks.
• Prepare learning materials and assist teachers with classroom organisation.
• Build positive and professional relationships with students and staff.
• Support students' academic progress, confidence and personal development.
• Help ensure lessons are accessible and inclusive for students with different learning needs.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and promote welfare of all students.
