Are you passionate about inspiring young learners and supporting their educational journey as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Primary)?

GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic and motivatedGraduate Teaching Assistant (GRAD TA)to joinprimary schoolsinSunderland. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who are passionate about education and considering a career in teaching.

As aGraduate Teaching Assistant (GRAD TA),you will work closely with class teachers to support the academic and personal development of primary school students. This role offers valuable classroom experience and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Provide one-to-one or small-group support to help students achieve their learning goals.
  • Support students with varying needs, including SEN, ensuring an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Assist with classroom organisation, resource preparation and behaviour management.
  • Foster positive relationships with students to encourage their confidence and enthusiasm for learning.

Requirements:

  • A degree in any discipline (Education or related fields preferred).
  • A strong interest in pursuing a career in education or working with children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students and support their learning journey.
  • Have anupdated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps)and anenhanced DBSregistered to theUpdate Service(or be willing to apply for one).
