Job summary

Stepintoteaching in Leicester is seeking enthusiastic graduates to join a brand-new school opening this September as Graduate Teaching Assistants in English, Maths and Science. This full-time, in-person position offers invaluable classroom experience in a fresh educational environment.

You will work with experienced staff, deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions, support learning needs including SEND, assist with lesson prep, and help raise attainment while building pupils' confidence.

Qualifications

• Degree in English, English Literature, Mathematics, Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a related subject.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, positive and resilient attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support students in English, Maths or Science lessons.
• Deliver targeted intervention sessions one-to-one and in small groups.
• Help raise attainment and build students' confidence in their subject knowledge.
• Support pupils with varying learning needs, including SEND where required.
• Assist with lesson preparation, classroom activities and behaviour management.
• Build positive relationships with students and contribute to high expectations.
