Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a Knowsley secondary school starting in September 2026. The role is full‑time (8:30 am–3:30 pm), temporary but long term, located in Knowsley, L32, with pay to scale.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
• Provide at least two professional references covering the last 2 years.

• Behaviour management: Foster a positive learning environment with good behaviour management.
• Providing emotional support: Offering guidance and support to students who may be dealing with personal issues or stress.
• Monitoring well-being: Keeping an eye on students' overall well-being and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
• Safeguarding: Ensuring the safeguarding procedure is followed when required.
• Collaboration: Work closely with teachers to ensure lessons run smoothly and students thrive academically and socially.
