Job summary

Step Into Teaching Limited is supporting a secondary school in Coventry to recruit a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant. If you hold a maths degree, this could be the ideal role for you as you contribute to pupils' learning and progress.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, term-time only, with a weekly pay of £500–£530. You will gain classroom experience before teacher training and work with supportive staff to develop maths skills across age groups.

Qualifications

• A graduate with a degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
• A strong understanding of mathematical concepts and curriculum content.
• Experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A passion for education and helping students succeed.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom activities and assist in delivering Mathematics lessons to students of various age groups and abilities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group tuition to students who need additional help, either inside or outside of class time.
• Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
• Help to monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support students with homework and assignments.
• Assist with administrative duties related to student progress tracking and classroom organisation.
