Job summary

Academics in Abbots Langley is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a charming village school as soon as possible. This role is ideal for a graduate or an experienced teaching assistant looking to develop their experience within education.

You will support a child 1:1 with ASD and assist across KS1/KS2, with the opportunity in your second year to apply for Schools Direct teacher training and gain QTS.

Qualifications

• A graduate with a degree graded 2:1 or above is ideal for this Teaching Assistant role or a graduate with some previous experience working with children is desirable.
• In your second year as a Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to apply for schools direct teacher training and gain your QTS.
• A graduate with GCSEs in Maths and English (C or above) is required.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 work with a child with ASD, suitable for candidates with experience working with Special Needs children.
• The graduate appointed will be supporting a child across Key stage one / two.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 15:25.

This school are looking for committed and bright graduates who are passionate about their input into a child's education to join as a Teaching Assistant. The graduate appointed will be supporting a child across Key stage one / two.

A graduate with a strong educational background is required for this Graduate Teaching Assistant role including GCSE's in Maths and English (C or above).

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to expand their classroom experience prior to undertaking their teaching training and becoming a fully qualified classroom teacher.
