Job summary

The Department of Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford invites applications for a Graduate Studies Administrator to manage graduate admissions and student administration. You will work with the Senior Academic Administrator and Academic Office colleagues to provide an efficient service for applicants, students and staff.

The post is permanent and full-time (37.5 hours/week) with potential for hybrid working and up to 40% home working after probation.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience in higher education or student-facing roles.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills; ability to handle confidential information.

We are seeking a proactive Graduate Studies Administrator to manage graduate admissions and student administration within the Department of Experimental Psychology. Working with the Senior Academic Administrator and Academic Office colleagues, you will provide an efficient and responsive service for applicants, students and academic staff, supporting admissions, progression, and wider graduate administration.

To be successful in this role you will have a degree or equivalent experience, with substantial administrative or student-facing experience in higher education or a similarly complex environment. You will be highly organised, accurate, and able to manage competing priorities independently. You will have excellent communication and IT skills, and be able to handle confidential information with discretion. Experience of graduate admissions, student administration, or University of Oxford systems would be an advantage.

The post is permanent and offered on a full-time basis working 37.5 hours per week. The role is based within the new, purpose-built Life and Mind Building. A pattern of hybrid working may be possible with the agreement of your line manager, with a maximum of 40% home working once established in post.
