Job summary

RGB seeks a Graduate Structural Engineer for its Glasgow office, working on temporary works design across complex construction and infrastructure projects throughout the UK. This permanent position, salaried at £28,000 to £35,000 per annum, involves contributing to schemes from concept design through to site delivery.

The successful candidate will develop a solid foundation in engineering design and construction methodologies, supported directly by experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Solid problem-solving approach to engineering challenges.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Ambition to progress toward Chartership is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering design and project development.
• Produce design calculations and technical reports.
• Support preparation of CAD drawings and design packages.
• Attend site visits, inspections and client meetings.
• Perform risk assessments and review construction methodologies.
• Coordinate with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support project delivery from feasibility through to completion.
• Develop technical knowledge through training and mentoring.
