Job summary

Arup is seeking graduates to join its UK structural engineering teams, offering a pathway to professional qualification and a structured learning journey. You will shadow experienced engineers, contribute to projects from concept to delivery and develop core technical and collaborative skills in a global, supportive environment.

You will learn through hands-on design, analysis and modelling, with mentoring from senior engineers and access to a wide range of learning opportunities and resources.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Structural, General or Architectural Engineering with a 2.1 or above.
• ICE or IStructE accredited course is preferred.
• A genuine passion for structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Carry out analysis and calculations for structural projects.
• Assist in design decisions and building models.
• Produce drawings, calculations and reports to support delivery.
• Collaborate with design teams and engineers across disciplines.
• Learn and apply codes of practice and software tools.
• Plan tasks and meet deadlines with the team.
• Take responsibility for quality and timely delivery of work.
• Seek innovative ways to improve efficiency and reduce embodied carbon.
