Job summary

Arup, a global engineering consultancy, invites graduates to join our Early Careers program in the UK. You will shadow an experienced structural engineer, assist in early project stages, and contribute to low-carbon building designs.

This role offers mentorship toward professional qualifications and broad learning across disciplines. You will participate in analysis, design, and communication tasks within collaborative teams, gaining hands-on experience on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Structural, General or Architectural Engineering, or Engineering Science, at 2.1 or above.
• Studying, or have studied, an ICE or IStructE accredited course.
• A passion for structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Analysis: Carrying out structural calculations, modelling, engineering, computer, and hand analysis.
• Design: Finding structural engineering solutions and building computer/structural models to monitor building behavior.
• Communication: Through drawings, modelling, calculations, BIM, meetings, reports, emails, and messages.
• Working with teams: Cooperating, giving and receiving instructions, solving problems, and building relationships.
