Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join our UK teams. You will shadow experienced engineers, assist in early project stages, and contribute to designs that are low-carbon, aesthetically pleasing and efficient.

The role offers learning and progression toward professional qualification, with mentorship from senior engineers and opportunities across a global multidisciplinary consultancy.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Structural, General or Architectural Engineering (2.1 or above).
• ICE or IStructE accredited course desirable.
• Strong passion for structural engineering and learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out structural analysis and design calculations.
• Creating and validating engineering models and drawings.
• Communicating design intent through sketches, reports and BIM outputs.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects.
• Learning codes of practice, software, materials and construction techniques.
• Planning work with deadlines and coordinating with the team.
• Taking responsibility for quality and timely delivery of work.
• Exploring new methods, scripting, automation and innovative workflows.

Education
