Job summary

Arup is seeking a graduate Structural Engineer to learn the craft of structural engineering within a global advisor and design practice. You will shadow experienced engineers, contribute to early project stages, and develop through formal mentoring toward professional qualification.

You will work on systems that are beautiful yet low carbon, with opportunities across buildings and infrastructure while growing your technical and collaboration skills in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Structural, General or Architectural Engineering, or Engineering Science, at 2.1 or above.
• Studying, or have studied, an ICE or IStructE accredited course
• A passion for structural engineering

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural calculations, modelling, engineering analysis.
• Design structural solutions and build models to monitor behavior.
• Communicate via drawings, BIM, meetings and reports.
• Collaborate with project teams and mentors.
• Plan work with deadlines and take responsibility for delivery.
• Identify efficient, low-carbon design approaches and automation ideas.
• Support learning and professional development within the team.
• Build relationships across Arup and the local community
