Job summary

Carrington West in Winchester, Hampshire, is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to start or develop a career in a supportive consultancy, with direct client exposure and increasing project responsibility.

You will work with senior engineers, producing structural calculations and drawings, liaising with clients and design teams, and progressing toward independent project ownership as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Interest in developing career within structural engineering.
• Experience in a civil/structural design office is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Involved in design and delivery of projects from early stages to completion.
• Produce structural calculations, designs and technical documentation.
• Liaise directly with clients, architects and wider design teams.
• Assist with preparation of drawings, specifications and engineering information.
• Attend project and design meetings as required.
• Coordinate structural designs with other disciplines.
• Take increasing responsibility for own projects as experience grows.
