Carrington West is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join its Bristol team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will work with experienced engineers, gain project responsibility, and develop your technical expertise while collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary design teams.

The role offers a salary of £28,000 - £35,000 per year, plus a bonus, with a clear path to taking ownership of projects and building a long-term career in structural engineering.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• A genuine interest in developing a career within structural engineering.
• Some previous experience within a civil or structural design office would be beneficial.
• A good understanding of structural engineering principles.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative design team.
• A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
• Confidence communicating with colleagues, clients and other members of a project team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting senior engineers with the structural design and delivery of projects.
• Producing structural calculations, designs and technical documentation.
• Working on a range of civil and structural engineering projects.
• Liaising directly with clients, architects and wider design teams.
• Supporting the preparation of drawings, specifications and engineering information.
• Attending project and design meetings where required.
• Assisting with the coordination of structural designs alongside other disciplines.
• Taking increasing responsibility for your own projects as your experience develops.
• Working closely with experienced engineers who will support your technical and professional development.
